Thanks for visiting me on the web!! A little background info…I grew up in Annapolis, Maryland, stretching my time in every possible direction from playing sports to the performing arts. Once in high school my passion for performing won out and I decided to pursue attending college with a focus in studying theater. After gaining acceptance into Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Drama, Pittsburgh became my home away from home for the next four years. I graduated with honors, had multiple semesters on the Dean’s List, was an Andrew Carnegie Society Scholar, and was given the Charles Willard Award by the School of Drama for my contributions to the life of the department.
An almost 18 year career as a professional actor then followed, beginning in New York City and then continuing in Chicago where I currently reside. Highlights include three Broadway shows, two National Tours, The Theatre at Madison Square Garden, The Metropolitan Opera, shows on the Las Vegas strip and regional theatres around the country. I was even fortunate enough to book a national Verizon commercial for Mother’s Day.
Living in Chicago has brought many exciting new adventures aside from performing. I co-produced a very successful run Steven Strafford’s one person show Methtacular! with About Face Theatre which culminated in Joseph Jefferson Award nomination for Steven in the solo performance category. I helped to found FWD Theatre Project, a non-profit company whose mission is to bring new musicals to life in Chicago with staged readings.
After enjoying the many benefits of a regular yoga practice, I decided to take the leap and complete a 200 hour yoga teacher training course with CorePower Yoga. I now teach several different formats for CorePower Yoga in Chicago and recently was a coach for trainees who were enrolled in a teacher training course through CPY.
I hope to continue using my skills as an excellent communicator, a compassionate listener, a team player and a person who takes great pride and enjoyment in uplifting others for the next chapter in my journey!
